Meet Michele K. Synegal

In Service of Spirit and Story

Michele K. Synegal was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and now makes her home between Bethesda, Maryland, and Kingston, Jamaica. She is the president of Management Dynamics, Inc., a consulting firm devoted to advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. As a certified life coach and senior facilitator with the Centers for Creative Leadership, Michele has guided leaders and organizations across sectors toward more humane and inclusive practices.

Her life, however, is not defined by one vocation. She is also an ordained minister with the Centers for Spiritual Living, where she served for more than a decade as senior minister of the Spiritual Empowerment Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Ministry, she believes, is about meeting people where they are—in times of celebration, transition, and heartbreak—and offering them a path toward healing and self-discovery. This calling inspired her first book, Inspiration in Small Doses, a collection of motivational messages drawn from her sermons and coaching.

Her second book, Widows Speak: A Guide for Healing, Living, and Thriving After Losing a Loved One, emerged from her most personal journey: navigating life after the death of her husband. With compassion, candor, and courage, she transforms private grief into public ministry, opening a space for widows and the bereaved to feel seen, heard, and supported. Alongside her own story, she amplifies the voices of other widows, creating a collective testimony to resilience, survival, and the enduring power of love.

Michele holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Relations and Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco and a master’s degree in Consciousness Studies from the Holmes Institute. She has published articles, written countless sermons, and led writing workshops for emerging authors. Currently, she is working on a collection of inspirational poetry to be published in 2025.

When she is not writing, facilitating, or ministering, Michele enjoys hiking, tennis, yoga, Broadway musicals, museums, live music, and traveling the world to experience diverse cultures. She describes her life’s purpose simply: to help others realize their divine potential and to keep discovering her own.
